Westchester Collaborative Theater Showcase June 29 ~Ossining~


Westchester’s only ensemble theater company devoted exclusively to developing new works for the stage by local playwrights and performed by skilled actors from Westchester and the surrounding region. Slated to be showcased are highlights from past performances that evolved from WCT’s play development workshops.

Gardening with Native Plants Workshop June 22 ~Ossining~

Gardening with native plants in our suburban landscape has many environmental benefits. Join landscape designer Amanda Bayley, co-founder of PLAN it WILD, for a presentation on how to beautify your own yard with native plants.

Amanda will be presenting for the first hour, followed by a tour of several gardens at Teatown that showcase examples of the ecoregion concept.

Croton Reservoir & Dam Hike June 29 ~Ossining~

The leader of the hike will discuss the history and construction of the Old Croton Aqueduct and the features of the Croton Dam, the trailhead of the Aqueduct Trail. The Aqueduct was completed in 1842 to supply water to a thirsty New York City.
