The Westchester Philharmonic opens its series at The PAC with the pure, sublime beauty of Ravel’s Pavane, originally composed for piano and dedicated to Princesse de Polignac. “Drumroll,” one of Haydn’s final three symphonies, shows the composer at the very peak of his already formidable powers; a mysterious timpani roll gives it its name.
