Cinematography Seminar October 17 ~Pleasantville~
Across every genre, the camera is a key storytelling tool. As students watch clips from a wide variety of films, award-winning documentary filmmaker and JBFC faculty member Diane Hodson guides the conversation, showing how lighting design, color, movement, composition, and framing communicate theme and meaning in both fiction and documentary film. Looking at how visual language has changed over time, we will also consider the impact of new technology such as drones and 360-degree cameras.
Location: Jacob Burns Film Center, Pleasantville
