Westchester Choral Society Presents Carmina Burana May 13 ~White Plains~

Carmina Burana, a spectacular extravaganza, which is one of the most popular pieces in the classical music repertoire.

Surprisingly, it was written in the 20th century, and concert goers have been thrilled to hear both the traditional interpretations of this composition, as well as the intense versions created and performed by contemporary musicians, including the death metal group Therion and rappers Nas and Puff Daddy.

Also, the concert will also include a series of Hungarian and Slovak folk songs composed by Bela Bartok. Ticket purchasers will be invited to a special reception after the concert.
